Ndutu – 7th of March 2025

After breakfast we check out of Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge and pass through the scenic great rift valley on the drive to the Ndutu-Serengeti region. This area is known as the Ngorongoro Conservation area which is one of the few remaining places where the Masai tribes live amongst wild animals. On this scenic drive you can expect to see lots of Masai villages, Masia people herding their sheep, goats and cattle, along with wild zebras and giraffes.

Along the way we stop at a Masai Village tour where we will have the opportunity to be shown the way the Masai people live their lives.

We will arrive in Ndutu around lunchtime where we will check into the stunning Lake Masek Tented Camp.

After lunch we will embark on our first game drive in Lake Masek. It will be the peak of the calving season for most herbivore species such as zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and more. Serengeti – 10th & 11th of March 2025

Known by many as ‘big cat country’, central Seronera is the park’s most popular destination for group safaris in Tanzania. It has the biggest variety of accommodation in the park and offers the best chance to see big cats like lions, cheetahs, and elusive leopards in the wild.

Despite large numbers of predators, herbivores like diminutive impala and towering elephants are also abundant in Serengeti National Park and you may just spot them grazing amongst the kopjes and acacia trees.

On these days, we take either two game drives – one after breakfast between 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and one late afternoon from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm – or a full day game drive from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Either way, you can expect lots of sunshine, warm temperatures and clear views across the savannah thanks to the dry season’s thinner vegetation.

For an extra cost, you may wish to take a hot air balloon ride to experience an aerial view of the Serengeti plains, followed by a lavish champagne bush breakfast.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

12th of March 2025

Following breakfast, we will enjoy one final brief game drive before catching a short flight from Serengeti to Kilimanjaro in the late morning, to connect with your flight home. If your next destination’s flight schedule permits, you may opt to extend your stay by an additional night in Arusha or Kilimanjaro. Furthermore, I strongly suggest considering the addition of a few extra nights in Zanzibar to your itinerary, and I would be pleased to provide you with quotes upon request.
